What are all of our roads worth?
There are 375 miles (8.4 million square yards) of street pavement within the City of Thousand Oaks. The replacement value is estimated to be approximately $700 million dollars. A pavement management program is essential to assist the City in maintaining and preserving this enormous investment. The City implemented the pavement management program (PMP) in 1991 to systematically and efficiently manage its street pavements investment. The program is used to determine which streets are in need of overlays, slurry sealing, or restriping.
2012 Arterial and Residential Pavement Overlay
This Arterial and Residential Pavement Overlay Project is part of an ongoing pavement maintenance program to help maintain and improve the pavement surface in residential neighborhoods and on arterial streets Citywide. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid August and will continue through November. Detailed information on overlay schedules are provided below.
