The Annual Excellence in the Arts Awards are presented annually in June inside the Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre. The ceremony is televised lived on TOTV Channel 10 in Thousand Oaks. A reception featuring refreshments and art work by local artists follows the ceremony. Nominations for the awards, which recognizes people, groups and businesses that have made significant contributions to the arts in the community, are accepted in annually in March.
