| | | Thousand Oaks Community Gallery | You are welcome at the Community Gallery opened in February 1991 and the realization of combined efforts of the City Of Thousand Oaks, area art organizations, and dedicated art patrons. The Gallery is one of the area's primary cultural facilities and hosts diversified visual arts exhibitions, workshops, artist presentations and special events. The Gallery showcases outstanding work of acclaimed, professional and emerging artists who present an exceptional array of original imagery, artistic techniques and visual styles. This 3,000 square foot contemporary Gallery is enhanced with a multi-purpose area that includes kitchen facilities. The Gallery is available for group tours and special events. Original art is available for purchase for personal or corporate collections. The gallery showcases outstanding work of acclaimed, professional and emerging artists who present an exceptional array of original imagery, artistic techniques and visual styles. By contacting the Gallery, any artist can receive information on exhibition opportunities as part of a group show or as an individual exhibitor. Gallery operations are under the direction of City staff and a steering committee, consisting of regional visual arts association representatives and dedicated arts leaders. Operating costs are covered by a modest user fee paid by exhibiting artists and an active volunteer corps as staff. Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Gallery’s continued growth and operation. The Gallery welcomes volunteer support and offers a variety of opportunities to interested individuals.
